When a driver breaks traffic rules and regulations and an electronic challan is generated for the violation of traffic. This is called E-Challan. The E-Challan can be paid online or offline and can be checked on the Parivahan official website.

  1. Visit the website https://state.bihar.gov.in/transport/CitizenHome.html
  2. Scroll down to the “Online Services” section
  3. Click on “Challan Details”
  4. You will be redirected to parivahan official page https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/
  5. Click on the “ Get Challan Details” option
  6. Enter the Challan number/Vehicle number/Driving License number
  7. Enter the captcha code
  8. Click on Get Details
  9. A list of E-challans will be shown on the screen
  10. You can check the individual status of all the challan and pay later

How to pay for the E-Challan online in Bihar?

The following steps help in paying online in Bihar for E-Challan:

  1. Visit the website https://state.bihar.gov.in/transport/CitizenHome.html
  2. Search for the “Online Services” section
  3. Click on the Challan Details
  4. You will be redirected to parivahan official page https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/
  5. Click on the Get Challan Details option
  6. Enter the Challan number/Vehicle number/Driving License number
  7. Enter the captcha code given on the screen
  8. Click on Get Details
  9. A list of E-challans will be shown on the screen
  10. Pay for the challan by choosing the mode of payment
  11. Pay the fine amount and later a receipt will be generated which can be used for future reference.

How to pay for E-Challan offline in Bihar?

An E-Challan can be paid offline as well as online. Offline E-Challan payment can be done instantly to the traffic police who issued the E-Challan and a receipt for future reference can be taken. Or the vehicle owner can directly go to the traffic police station in the area where the challan was issued and pay the fine. Both ways offline E-Challan payment is acceptable in the state of Bihar.
