- Form 28: No Objection Certificate application and grant.
- Form 29: Notice of Transfer ownership of the vehicle
- Form 30: Application of Intimation of transfer of ownership
- Form 31: Application for transfer of ownership of the vehicle to the new owner
- Form 32: Application for transfer of ownership, in case of the vehicle purchased in an auction.
- Form 35: Notice of termination, if the vehicle is hypothecated to a bank.
- Registration Certificate: RC held by the seller
- Proof of Address: Aadhar Card/Passport/Electricity Bill/Telephone Bill/Ration Card
- Insurance Certificate of the vehicle.
- PAN card of the parties, seller, and buyer.
- PUC or Pollution Under Control Certificate.

Offline procedure of Transfer Ownership of vehicle in Uttar Pradesh
- Notarize the sale agreement.
- Visit the RTO where the buyer is willing to transfer the ownership of the vehicle
- Fill the necessary documents mentioned above.
- Attach the other documents.
- Attach passport sized photographs.
- Hand over the required documents, along with the fees.
- Apply for a clearance certificate.
- After receiving an acknowledgment form from the RTO, you will be mailed the new Registration Certificate to your registered address.

- Visit the website https://parivahan.gov.in/parivahan/ operated by the Ministry of Road, Transport, and Highways.
- Click on the “Online Services” option
- Select “Vehicle Related Services”
- Enter your “Vehicle Registration Number”
- Click “Proceed”
- Click on Miscellaneous.
- Enter your “Phone Number”
- Generate OTP
- Click on “Show Details”
- Select “Transfer of Ownership” under the head “Application Selection”
- Enter all the details, such as New Owner’s details, Current Address, Permanent Address, Insurance details, etc.
- Click on “Payment” and pay the fees online.
- Both parties are required to attest the hard copies of the documents.
- Visit the RTO with the original Registration Certificate, Copy of Insurance Policy, PUC, and other documents.
- The new registration certificate will soon be mailed to the buyer at his given address, once the verification of these documents is successful.
